# My watch doesn't vibrate for notifications

A banner and a red dot, but no tap on your wrist? The notification arrived. It was delivered quietly, and two settings decide that.

## Check the watch's notification settings

Your Apple Watch decides how each app's notifications arrive. You change that in the Watch app on your iPhone, not on the watch itself.

1. 01 On your iPhone, open the **Watch** app.
2. 02 Tap **My Watch**, then **Notifications**.
3. 03 Scroll down and tap **WatchieBesti**. It may show as **Besti** in this list.
4. 04 It's set to either **Mirror my iPhone** or **Custom**.

**Set to Custom?** Choose **Allow Notifications**. With **Send to Notification Center** chosen instead, banners and the red dot still appear, but sound and vibration are switched off. Muting does something similar for a while: if you swiped left on a WatchieBesti notification on your wrist and muted it for an hour or for the day, its notifications arrive without sound or vibration until the mute ends.

**Set to Mirror my iPhone?** The watch copies your iPhone's settings for WatchieBesti, so the fix is on the iPhone. Check those next.

## Check the iPhone's notification settings

When the watch mirrors your iPhone, these settings decide what happens on your wrist too.

1. 01 On your iPhone, open **Settings** and tap **Notifications**.
2. 02 Scroll down and tap **WatchieBesti**.
3. 03 Make sure **Allow Notifications** is on.
4. 04 Make sure **Sounds** is on.

Step 4 is the one that catches people out. With **Sounds** off on the iPhone and the watch mirroring it, watchOS shows the banner and the red dot but skips the vibration. Turn Sounds on and the tap comes back.

## Still no buzz?

Two watch settings can silence every app at once:

- **Focus or Do Not Disturb.** A moon or another Focus icon at the top of the watch face means alerts are being held back. Open **Control Center** on the watch and turn the Focus off.
- **Haptics.** In the Watch app on your iPhone, tap **Sounds & Haptics** and make sure haptics aren't switched off.

You can leave **Silent Mode** on. It mutes the watch's sounds, but notifications still tap your wrist.

## Getting no notifications at all?

A quiet pet is usually a happy one. WatchieBesti only nudges you when your pet needs you, so there's nothing to send while it's doing well. Each kind of alert (morning check-ins, milestones, mood changes and engagement nudges) can also be switched on or off in the app's own Notifications settings.
